What values am I living with? I was born in a moderate religious family. We might not be considered as religious to some as everybody has been free to choose what they think is best for them; my sister doesn't wear any scarf and doesn't believe in covering herself at all; my brothers don't pray but my mom and dad try to follow the rules and regulations of my religion. It is strange that i was away from my family for along time but i feel more attached to some of the values in my religion. some call us a liberal family but i'm proud that we all have common values. In our family, we learned to respect others' opinions even if it is opposite our beliefs. We learned to listen to people without any judgements; we re here to live together in peace and glorify ourselves and help others to grow to their best in their own way; we are advised not to force others to accept or deny anything, but help them explore their own being and the world, experiment to find the best ways of living and realise the meaning of life. It doesn't matter people are Jews, Muslims or whatever religion that I am not aware of or even if they are nonbelievers. We are bestowed this life time chance so we should grab this opportunity to take care of one another to soothe each others pain, to lit the dark moments during this journey.
